A space that listens
One faceted sphere unfolds inside out, then contracts. Bass enlarges the form; hits sharpen its folds. The camera shows its outside and interior as red laser light moves across the facets.
Motion reveals form
In TouchDesigner I built one many-faceted sphere. It opens inside out, then contracts again: we see its exterior and move into its folded interior. Red light reveals its facets against deep black.

The same principle, a different rhythm
The interactive version rebuilds the sphere in code. Its facets open in a shared wave, turn inside out and fold back. Bass changes the size of the form, audio onsets sharpen its folds, and voices and instruments turn the planes. The camera moves from the outer volume into the interior. The video texture is my footage of Tundra’s laser installation at Jet by Arma17, held at the Molniya factory on 12 November 2016. The footage is darkened to emphasise red light and black gaps.
Black establishes depth
Red occupies only part of the frame, giving each highlight weight. Facets are never entirely visible: the viewer reconstructs form from light and motion. A translucent carrier adds a material layer to this principle.
A sequence rather than one image
Adjacent moments differ in angle and the distribution of light. In a new exhibition presentation, they sit side by side so changes in spatial direction and density become visible.
From screen to environment
The light-based image accommodates different scales: a small screen, a translucent surface or a whole wall. New scenes explore this potential while preserving the original red-and-black geometry.
